An Afternoon with James Martin at the PORT via Zoom (Participation in person or by Zoom)
Date: Sunday, October 18 Time: 1:30 – 4:00 p.m. (Central time) Fee: $25
We are blessed to have the opportunity to talk with Fr. James Martin, S.J. as he discusses our current challenging times and how the tenets of Jesuit tradition can help each of us as we struggle to survive and eventually thrive in the midst of continuing uncertainty. Discernment and Ignatian Contemplation mixed with more than a touch of humor promise an afternoon of hope and enlightenment at a time when we all truly need encouragement and the power of shared faith. He will speak for the first portion of the afternoon followed by a Q & A session. His intelligence, eloquence, humor, and passion in defense of the marginalized make him a much sought after speaker. The afternoon will also include music, prayer, and light refreshments if attending in person.. We will have some of his books available for sale. The event will be held in the auditorium at the Motherhouse and by Zoom.
Facilitator: James J. Martin, SJ is a Jesuit priest, writer, and editor-at-large of America magazine.
