Are you interested in the lives and teachings of St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi? Are you looking for a way to deepen your own spirituality? You are invited to join others in exploring the values and charism of these beloved saints: caring for the poor, making peace, practicing nonviolence, and deepening our relationship with our planet. In world in need of Gospel values, St. Francis and St. Clare show us a way to be faithful.
The Franciscan Way of Life is a two-year program available to men and women of all faiths, religions, and traditions who want to learn more about Franciscan Gospel values and how to incorporate those values into daily life. In the first year, participants learn about the lives of Saints Francis and Clare in medieval Italy, as well as the Franciscan values of conversion, poverty, and contemplation. In the second year, the focus of the program is on the integrity of creation, peacemaking, the development of the Franciscan community, and the history of the Dubuque Franciscans.
Come alone or bring a friend. All are welcome! If you are unable to join this group, we may be able to help find you a group that fits your schedule.
