DESCRIPTION:Transformed Through Hope: Addressing Our “Soul Sickness” and Renewing Our Faith in a Time of Fear \n\n\n\nIn a world marked by division\, anxiety\, and uncertainty\, this year’s Day of Reflection invites participants to explore what authentic Christian hope looks like today. Drawing on the Franciscan tradition—especially the wisdom of St. Francis and St. Clare—Daniel Horan\, Ph.D.\, will guide us in reflecting on the “soul sicknesses” that trouble our hearts and communities\, and how we might move toward healing\, courage\, and renewed faith. \n\n\n\nAll are welcome. Donate what you can ($5–$100) so all who wish to attend may do so. DESCRIPTION:The Joint Committee on Franciscan Unity is offering a free online lecture on August 15 at 4pm EST on the prophetic witness of two remarkable Franciscan women: Angela of Foligno and Ursula de Jesús. The Rev. Dr. Joy Schroeder will lead the session. \n\n\n\nAngela of Foligno\, a 13th century Third Order Franciscan\, wrote about care for the poor and God’s presence in creation. Ursula de Jesús\, a 17th century Afro‑Peruvian religious sister in a Poor Clare monastery\, received visions that confronted racism in her community and affirmed God’s love for people of all races. \n\n\n\nTheir stories offer a timeless call to justice and compassion and speak powerfully to the concerns of today’s Christians. \n\n\n\nThis lecture is free and open to all.  \n\n\n\nClick Here to Register
