SUMMARY:FST Zoom Lecture - Little Flowers Everywhere: Integrating the Charism in a Small\, Liberal Arts\, Franciscan University - Sarah Kohles\, OSF (Online; Partner Event)
DESCRIPTION:Hosted by the Franciscan School of Theology Presented by Sister Sarah Kohles\, OSF \n\n\n\nHigher education today faces significant challenges\, and a strong grounding in the Franciscan tradition can offer both stability and inspiration. In this lecture\, Sister Sarah Kohles\, OSF explores how the Franciscan charism takes root within a small\, liberal arts university — not through rigid structures\, but through responsive\, relational\, and mission-driven practices. \n\n\n\nDrawing on real questions that arise in campus life\, she reflects on how a community might articulate its Franciscan identity\, weave Franciscan values into the general education curriculum\, and empower a Franciscan Mission Team to cultivate the tradition across the university. Over time\, these efforts become a bouquet of “little flowers” — small but meaningful expressions of the charism that shape the life of the campus. \n\n\n\nSister Sarah Kohles\, OSF serves as Assistant Professor of Theology and Executive Director of Mission and Catholic Integration at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City\, Iowa. \n\n\n\nThe lecture will be recorded\, and all registrants will receive the recording. It will also be posted on FST’s YouTube channel after the event. \n\n\n\nClick Here to Register

SUMMARY:Claim Your Individuality: Put Your Negative Shadow to Rest! (Online & In-Person; Partner Event)
DESCRIPTION:Hosted by the Oldenburg Franciscans \n\n\n\nWe all carry parts of ourselves we’d rather not see. When we ignore or project these “shadow” aspects onto others\, we lose touch with our own wholeness. This reflective program explores how recognizing and integrating the shadow can open the path toward individuation\, the lifelong journey of becoming our most authentic selves. Together we’ll look at how embracing\, rather than resisting\, our darker edges can free us from old patterns and lead to greater compassion\, self-awareness\, and inner peace. Come ready to meet the parts of yourself you’ve kept in the dark and gently invite them into the light. \n\n\n\nClick here to register
