Our 2027 virtual retreat will explore the profound commitments Franciscans have made in every generation to be agents of healing and compassion.
We’ll look at how Gospel wisdom has taken shape across cultures, communities, and eras — with a special focus on St. Marianne Cope and the creative ministries she built in response to cultural, spiritual, and societal pressures.
Her witness invites us to meet our own callings with courage, imagination, and hope. We’ll also reflect on other women and men in our tradition whose lives continue to inspire our ongoing conversion to the cry of the poor.
We’re grateful to share that Sr. Margaret Carney, OSF and Dr. Cynthia Zane will be our retreat speakers this year.

From Darkness to Light: Honoring the 800th Anniversary of the Transitus of Francis
Our 2026 Annual Retreat invited participants into an afternoon of prayer, reflection, and storytelling. Bishop John Stowe, OFM Conv., and Katie Sullivan offered thoughtful presentations that helped us explore the meaning of the Transitus in our lives today.

2025 Virtual Retreat Recording Available
The Canticle and Hope
Led by Br. Bill Short, OFM, this retreat invited participants to reflect on the inclusive vision of Francis of Assisi and the enduring relevance of the Canticle of Creation in our shared “Common Home.” Through storytelling, theological insight, and spiritual reflection, Br. Bill helped us explore how centuries‑old wisdom continues to shape our lives today.
