At a time when our world longs for healing, connection, and hope, the Franciscan Federation’s 2027 National Gathering invites participants to return to what grounds us most deeply. Rooted as Franciscans, Healing Our World calls us to draw from the rich soil of Franciscan spirituality — where contemplation, relationship, peace and justice, and care for creation are inseparable.
Like an interconnected root system, our lives and ministries are nourished by a shared tradition while extending outward in diverse and dynamic ways. This gathering is for all Franciscans and Franciscan-hearted people, both seasoned and new to the Franciscan life.
We especially welcome:
- Young adults exploring the Franciscan way
- Lay employees of Franciscan congregations and organizations
- Anyone seeking deeper grounding in Franciscan spirituality and mission
Your presence and participation are vital to the growth and vitality of our shared root system.
Why We Gather
This gathering will explore how Franciscan spirituality sustains us, connects us across communities, and empowers us to respond to the needs of our time with courage and compassion. Through prayer, dialogue, and shared experience, we will reflect on how we are being called today; not only to remain rooted, but to be agents of healing in a fractured world.
Together, we hope to leave renewed in our commitment to live the Gospel in ways that restore relationships, foster peace, and bring life to our communities and creation.
Rooted in Franciscan wisdom and animated by the Spirit, we gather to remember who we are, to discern what is ours to do, and to participate in the ongoing renewal of our world.
