Part Four | The Cosmic Community of Creation: Exploring the Ecospirituality of St. Francis in the Canticle of the Creatures (Virtual Event Series)
October 7 @ 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm EDT
Part of a Four-Part Virtual Series Commemorating the 800th Anniversary of the Easter of Francis of Assisi
Presented in collaboration with Shalom Spirituality Center and the Franciscan Federation
Join Dan Horan for the final session in this commemorative series, focusing on the Canticle of the Creatures—a poetic and theological masterpiece composed by St. Francis in three parts and completed shortly before his death.
This session will explore the Canticle’s meaning, structure, and enduring relevance, especially in light of today’s ecological challenges and spiritual longing for connection. Through Francis’ lens, we’ll reflect on the sacred kinship of all creation and the call to live in harmony with the earth and one another.
This is the final installment in a four-part virtual series commemorating the Easter of St. Francis. We hope you’ll join us in closing this journey with reflection, celebration, and renewed commitment to the Franciscan vision.
