Franciscan Connection Circles (Monthly; Online)
February 9 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm EST
Join the next Franciscan Connection Circle — held via Zoom
This monthly virtual gathering is grounded in prayer, reflection, and community. We’ll begin with a short time of meditation and contemplative prayer, followed by a reading to guide our shared reflection and group discussion. These circles offer a welcoming, sacred space to connect with fellow Franciscans across the country.
This Month’s Topic
Our focus this month is on finding strength, stillness, and hope in the midst of chaos. Many of us are carrying the weight of unrest in our communities and in the wider world. Our facilitator, Lavina Taylor, will guide us through practice and prayers that invite us to pause, breathe, and reconnect with the quiet beneath the noise.
We’ll draw from several short readings and resources, including:
- A Blessing in the Chaos
- A breath prayer for stillness and silence
- A prayer from The Possibility of Hope
- A short dance video set to the Prayer for Guidance
Questions to ponder:
- Where do you notice an “opening into the quiet that lies beneath the chaos”?
- How does seeking stillness strengthen you, and what makes it challenging?
- In the Prayer for Guidance, we ask to “carry out Your holy and true command.” Does the prayer from The Possibility of Hope help make that feel possible?
All are welcome!
