Preparing Our Franciscan Presence: Participating Nonviolently in the Public Square (Online; Partner Event)
March 22 @ 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm EDT
Hosted by the Franciscan Action Network
As Franciscan-hearted people, we are called to bring a grounded, peaceful presence into the public square. This online session offers practical tools for cultivating that presence—how to spiritually prepare, stay centered, respond when confronted, and embody the Gospel of peace in moments of tension.
Together we’ll explore how to show up at rallies, vigils, and witness events with humility, courage, and nonviolence. Participants will learn simple skills for remaining rooted, de-escalating conflict, and moving as a community shaped by Franciscan values.
This session is especially helpful for those planning to participate in upcoming opportunities such as No Kings, peace rallies, vigils, and other public witness events.
Please note: the session will not be recorded, but all registrants will receive a one‑page summary afterward.
