Join the Franciscan Sisters of Our Lady of Perpetual Help for a free virtual screening and discussion of Starved: Our Food Insecurity Crises on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 7:30–9:00 p.m. ET.
This compelling documentary, produced by WQED and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, explores the root causes of food insecurity and highlights efforts to bring nutritious meals to underserved communities. Following the 30-minute film, local leaders in food justice will reflect on their work, including:
- Robert Telthorst and Sr. Marie Orf, CPPS of St. Anthony Food Pantry
- Andrew Diemer, Executive Director of the Wellston Center
Hear firsthand how these leaders are meeting urgent needs while addressing the deeper challenges that keep families from accessing healthy food.
