Hosted by the Franciscan Action Network (FAN), this online panel is part of the annual Faith in Democracy series, bringing together leaders from across faith traditions for a timely conversation on “Facing the Challenges of 2026”.
Moderated by Chris Crawford, Senior Director of Civic Strategies at Interfaith America, the panel features:
- Jim Wallis – Georgetown University Center on Faith and Justice
- Gloria Purvis – Georgetown University’s Initiative on Catholic Social Thought and Public Life
- Rabbi Sharon Brous – IKAR, Los Angeles
The gathering will open with prayer from Bishop John Stowe and close with prayer from Imam Talib Shareef. This nonpartisan conversation will explore the relationship between faith and democracy, the challenges facing the United States at this moment, and how people of faith can work together to strengthen democratic life.
