FST Zoom Lecture: St. Francis of Assisi’s Encounters with Women (Online; Partner Event)

As part of the Franciscan School of Theology’s free lecture series, Sr. Juliet Mousseau, RSCJ, PhD, will explore an often-overlooked aspect of St. Francis’ life: his encounters and relationships with women.
Francis frequently used feminine language when speaking about God and creation, but what do we know about his interactions with actual women? This presentation will examine Francis’ relationships with women and consider what they reveal about his spirituality, attitudes, and understanding of human connection.
