Care for Creation Author Roundtable

by Julianne Wallace

Join us as we continue to celebrate the 800th anniversary of the Canticle! In collaboration with Franciscan Media, the Franciscan Federation welcomes Ilia Delio, O.S.F., Keith Douglass Warner, O.F.M., and Pamela Wood, authors of the expanded edition of Care for Creation: A Franciscan Spirituality of the Earth.

Many Franciscans read the original “Care for Creation: A Franciscan Spirituality of the Earth” after it was published in 2008. A deeply insightful book on the environment and ecology through the lens of Franciscan Theology, it discussed the global climate crisis at that time. Since then, many more voices have joined the conversation about the crisis, most notably Pope Francis, in his encyclical Laudato Si. To honor the 800th anniversary of the Canticle of the Creatures, Franciscan Scholars and original authors Keith Douglas Warner, OFM, Ilia Delio, OSF, and Pamela Wood have written an expanded edition of the book. In it, they synchronize evolving eco-theology, combining spirituality with the practical applications needed today.

This virtual roundtable will feature unique perspectives from all authors and include a Q&A session.
