The Franciscan Sisters of Our Lady of Perpetual Help present the documentary Francesco.
The documentary on Pope Francis entitled Francesco, will be January’s free FFE Eco-Series event. A special viewing and discussion of the film will take place on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 6:30 in the evening Central, at Tau Center in Kirkwood, MO or via Zoom.
According to Vimeo, “Francesco is a generous, hopeful, and moving film for and about all of us at a time when we need a bold new vision, and visionary leadership to inspire us to build a better, healthier, and more equitable future — one that can be share widely now and for generations to come.
The film touches on the pandemic, police violence, racism, border walls, migration and refugees, LGBT, women’s empowerment, sexual abuse and much more from today’s headlines. This film takes an honest look at the most pressing challenges at this moment in time and examines how we might take action to transition into a new way of living and thriving in the 21st century. Director Avgeny Afineevsky was given unprecedented access to the Vatican and to Pope Francis himself to make this moving documentary.”
