Author and former pastor, Brian McLaren, will discuss the process of change and explore both what is passing away and what is trying to be born in the spiritual lives of growing numbers of people, both Christians and members of other faith communities. His program can serve to help us explore new ways of thinking, becoming, and belonging, finding courage and resilience for the deeply challenging times that are upon us. Facilitator: Brian D. McLaren is an author, speaker, activist, and public theologian. A former college English teacher and pastor, he is a passionate advocate for “a new kind of Christianity”: one that is just, generous, and working with people of all faiths for the common good. He is a faculty member at the Center for Action and Contemplation, an Auburn Senior Fellow, a contributor to We Stand with Love, and a leader in the Convergence Network, through which he is developing an innovative training/mentoring program for pastors and church planters.
