“Let us begin again.”
–St. Francis of Assisi
As the Order of Friars Minor in the United States embark on a journey of renewal and revitalization, so has Franciscan Media. In 2016, we recommitted to studying and celebrating our Franciscan roots. We have recommitted to learning to live out the teachings of St. Francis in the workplace, as well as sharing the charism with the world. We are dedicated to sharing the Franciscan spirituality of healing, peace, love, and simplicity.
The sale of the Servant Imprint will allow Franciscan Media to continue to grow and connect with our dedicated audience, who are hungry for Franciscan spirituality.
“We are grateful to find a loving home for the Servant Imprint,” Kelly McCracken, president of Franciscan Media, says. “We are confident it will thrive under the direction of Matthew Kelly and his team. This shift will allow us to focus on our Franciscan roots and the amazing work of Franciscans around the world.”
Matthew Kelly echoed that sentiment. “The Servant Imprint is a valued addition to our publishing family.”
Franciscan Media is currently accompanying over 233K people on their faith journey, many of whom engage with our materials daily. Franciscan Media’s website (FranciscanMedia.org), which garners over 1m page views per month, shows us that Franciscan spirituality is needed in this world of polarization.
Franciscan Media will continue to publish books rooted in Franciscan spirituality by authors such as Richard Rohr, OFM, Murray Bodo, OFM, Casey Cole, OFM, Dan Horan, OFM, Margaret Carney, OSF, Bruce Epperly, Terry Hershey, Maureen O’Brien, Colleen Mitchell, and others who are dedicated to sharing this spirituality with a wounded world.
Franciscan Media will continue to publish the award-winning St. Anthony Messenger, a magazine that helps its readers become joyful, loving peacemakers by exploring issues facing the Church and the world today through a Franciscan lens. Now in its 130th year, St. Anthony Messenger continues to celebrate the importance of our Franciscan tradition.
Franciscan Media is also the producer of the popular Saint of the Day, Franciscan Spirit, Minute Meditations, and Pause+Pray daily emails.
