August 10, 2026 — The Franciscan Federation today announced a second major gift to its endowment, marking decisive momentum toward its $7.5 million endowment goal and long-term sustainability. Following the historic $1 million foundational gift announced in April 2026, a second $1 million gift now strengthens the Federation’s capacity to serve Franciscans and Franciscan-hearted people across the United States and beyond.
As with the first gift, the donor, a member congregation of the Franciscan Federation, has chosen to remain anonymous at this time. Together, these transformative gifts signal deep confidence in the Federation’s mission and a shared vision for a resilient, future-ready Franciscan movement.
“This second major gift is more than a milestone… it is momentum,” said Executive Director Julianne Wallace. “We are moving decisively toward our $7.5 million endowment goal, and with each gift, we are securing the Federation’s ability to foster collaboration, deepen formation, and support the witness of Franciscan life in a changing world.”
The Franciscan Federation Endowment Fund is designed to provide durable support for the organization’s core priorities: promoting Franciscan charism and spirituality; nurturing collaboration among communities and individuals; and ensuring the Federation can adapt and thrive for generations to come. Gifts to the endowment are prudently invested, with distributions used to sustain mission-critical work while preserving principal for the future.
